-- Helen Keller

Do you hate math?  Or are you just afraid of it?
Hate or afraid – it’s kind of the same thing.

I hate spiders… Why?  Because I’m afraid of them.    It doesn’t matter that

without spiders the world would be covered with bugs.  I don’t care about that.

I hate them anyway.  They’re creepy, have thick, hairy legs and want to crawl

on me while I’m sleeping.  So, when I see one, it’s him or me.  I go into attack

mode!  The way I see it, if he’s really big and I don’t kill him, I’ll have to move

out of my house… Because I’ll know he’s in there… somewhere… waiting to

kill me in my sleep… taunting me… mocking me… and making baby spiders.

Last year, I actually saw a spider who only had three legs – one on the

left (his left, not mine) and two on the right.  I let him live.  Hey, any spider who

had survived a tragedy that ripped 5 legs off (or worse – five individual

traumas that each took one leg), had really earned the right to live.  That spider

was a miracle!  So, I let him get away – albeit, very slowly.

What was I talking about?  Oh, yeah… math!
