More On Sideways Parabolas

Graph x = -2( y + 1 )^2 + 4

Let's identify each thing that's going on:
 

x = -2( y + 1 )^2 + 4 ... the y guy is squared -- so, it's sideways! ... the negative means it's upside-down ... the 2 means it's twice as tall ... the + 1 means it shifts to y = -1 ... + 4 means it shifts 4 towards positive x's
