          Boy, were we mad!  We got out in the hallway and agreed that he wasn’t

going to chase US off!  The nerve of that guy!  Luckily, we decided to not run

him over in the parking lot.  Hey, things like that have consequences!

 

          So, we did the next best thing.  We studied and studied and studied... 

We’d show HIM!  And we did just that.  We both got “A's” on the first test!  To

this day, I'll never forget having that "93" paper handed back to me.     I can

still picture it…  It was in some sort of thick red pencil.  I kept looking at it to

make sure it was real.  Boy, what a great feeling that was.  I’ll NEVER forget it! 

This, by the way, is what’s known as a “refrigerator moment.”  That’s when

you run right home and post your wonderful accomplishment on the

refrigerator for all to see!

 

          So, after a LOT of hard work, I ended up getting a “B” in that class. 

I would have gotten an “A,” but after ripping the 93% on the first test, I got

cocky and didn’t study very well for the second one…  factoring… I ate a big,

bad “D“ on that one and learned a big lesson!
