It is advised to keep the unit near the area of
worst roach infestation, so that it may be implemented at a moment's notice.
2)
If you see a cockroach, do not turn on any
additional lights. Roaches will high-tail it to their favorite hiding spot instantly, and
you won't be able to follow them.
3)
Quietly obtain the Now-I-Gotcha-Cucaracha roach
removal device and don protective gear (see Safety
Precautions).
4)
To trap roach on:
a)
Ceiling:
Quietly approach the roach
(poetry always helps in times of trouble).
Slowly raise open end of device toward roach,
centering the opening under its body.
Quickly raise device to ceiling, keeping entire
circumference of opening flush with the ceiling. The roach should now be trapped. (If a
few legs have been cut off, don't worry, we won't tell PETA and Greenpeace if you don't.
It is important however, not to cut off the head. This will not kill the roach as it can
live up to a week without its head (we're not making this up).)
Slide the device slightly sideways. A gentle
"clunk" sound will indicate that the roach has dropped to the bottom of the
device. The roach will not be able to crawl out if device is kept upright. (It may be
emotionally beneficial, at this time, to break into a musical interlude of "La
Cucaracha", using the trapping device and its quarry as a percussion instrument.)
You may now deposit the disgusting, slimy, verminous
wretch outside or package him/her for shipping. (Attempting to suffocate or drown roach,
at this time, is not recommended, as they are able to hold their breath for up to 40
minutes.)
b)
Walls:
Same as part a), except hold trapping device
horizontally (perpendicular) to wall.
After moving device sideways to disengage the roach
from the wall, quickly tip the unit to a vertical position (open end up).
c)
Floors:
Same as part a), except hold device with the open
end down. After trapping, use a piece of paper to slide under trapped critter, then
relocate, feed to cat or ship.
NOTE: It is NOT recommended to allow
trapped roaches to accumulate in the device. Their scent may attract additional roaches.
