I hope you got really good at shifting parabolas around!  It works the same way for the Graphs to Know & Love.

Let's review:

y = a( x - h )^2 + k  ...  a shows how tall? Right-side-up or up-side-down?  ...  The shift is inside the (  ) with the x...  horizontal shift  ...  Hanging off on the end ( k ) is the vertical shift

Do these for some review:

Graph y = -3x^2

 

Graph y = ( x + 4 )^2

 

Graph y = x^2 - 1

OK, let's go!
