TRY IT:

Solve          6 - (1/2)x = 3/5 

The next one isn't really that bad, but it's got a really common mistake spot in it.

Before we start, multiply these numbers for me:

2 * 3 * 4 = ____

I hope you got 24!

2 * 3 * 4 = 6 * 4 = 24

Never in a million years would you have done it this way:

2 * 3 * 4 does not equal 2 * 3 * 2 * 4 = 6 * 8 = 48
It's just plain wrong -- isn't it?

So, don't make this mistake in this next problem!
