You can make the same decision when you’re taking math tests. I know
that this may not seem like an easy thing for you
to do, so I’ve got some
relaxation exercises you can do that will
help. Just like anything else, learning
to be calm will take practice. The more you do
these, the better you’ll get!
The most important thing for you to realize is
that there IS something you can
do to reduce your math anxiety.
For some of the exercises, you’ll want to take a nice twenty minute
stress
vacation, while others are quick things that
you can do right before a test or
anytime that you just want to calm down a bit.
Visualization
Effectively using
visualization is in two parts: the first one is for
relaxation and the second is for future
success.
Visualization for Relaxation
Visualization for relaxation can be a quick thing that you do in your
classroom right before a test or the night
before the test or while you're
waiting in line somewhere or while you're
sitting in a traffic jam. It can also be
done in a longer session, like meditation.
When this is the case, you’ll want to
sit or lie in a quiet place.
