and I’ve taught for 14 years.  Here’s a summary of my tried and true process

for studying.

Steps for Studying

	Make a study outline:
		Work from class notes and your text book.
	Look over and try examples:
		Look over your lecture notes.
			Work examples.
		Look over your homework.
			Work examples.
	Do your memorizing:
		Use flash cards to memorize all definitions and formulas.
	Make two practice tests:
		Work from your outline and homework.
			Grab four problems of each type. (two for each practice test)
		Mix the problems up so you don’t know what sections they came from.
		After a delay period, take the first practice test.
	** Better yet, get together with a study buddy and make     practice tests for each other!
