Also make sure that you complete your homework before the next class
period. Math homework compounds faster than
compound interest (haha –
another algebra analogy – I’m SO clever!) That
mountain of math homework is
going to get huge and unconquerable if you let
it pile up. If you get behind
one class, you can make it up. If you get
behind two classes, you are done.
It’s over. Without being caught up on your
homework, those math lectures
will quickly turn into alien babble and cave
drawings that are impossible to
understand. So, don’t let that happen. Always
stay current with your
homework!
Make friends in the class and form
study groups!
Make some friends in the class as soon as possible. Exchange phone
numbers and email addresses and get together to
study for tests.
Forming a good study group is definitely not just getting together with
the people who happen to be sitting around
you. And it’s not just getting
together to socialize before the test. A bad
study group ends up being
“misery loves company” while a good study group
can be “energy breeds
success!” There are definite tricks to forming
a really good study group!
