I always teach classes with at least 65 students.
This way, I’m sure to have a good
number of people who will interact with me. Teachers need you to ask
questions to keep the class lively AND to let
them know when they haven’t
explained something clearly enough. I’ve
learned a great deal over the years
from the questions that students have asked me!
Do your homework the same day that you
hear the lecture on it!
You’ve got a lot going on in your life… and that math lecture you just
heard is already starting to leak out your left
ear. DON’T TIP YOUR HEAD!
The harsh truth is that math lectures have a
half-life of about 12 hours…
This means that, after 12 hours, half of the
lecture is gone… After another
12 hours, half of that is gone, so you are now
down to 25% of what you
heard. You’ll learn more about half-lives in
Algebra!
Get started on your homework as soon as you can and always before
you go to bed that night. Even if you don’t
have time to get it finished, at least,
get a good start on it.
