 This calculator is for mortgage loans where monthly payments are made and the interest is compounded monthly (which is standard for the U.S.)  It finds the amount you will have pay each month on your loan - i.e., it finds your monthly payment.

Example: $5,000...  Enter 5000   (No commas!)
What's the yearly (annual) interest rate of the loan?   %
Example: 12%...  Enter 12      9.8%...  Enter 9.8
What's the length of the loan in years?  
This is usually 30 or 15, but I'm letting you put whatever amount you want in so you can experiment with doing an early payoff!
