Factor

Rewrite it as cubes...

x^3 - 8 = x^3 - 2^3 = ( x - 2 ) ( x^2 + 2x + ( 2 )^2 ) = ( x - 2 ) ( x^2 + 2x + 4 )

Multiply it back out to check!
