Remember the distributive property?

a ( b + c ) = ab + ac

Check it with this easy example:

2 ( 4 + 5 ) = ( 2 )( 4 ) + ( 2 )( 5 )... ( 2 )( 9 ) = 8 + 10... 18 = 18

Yep, it works!

Now, we'll be doing it with x critters.

Let's multiply this:

3x^2 ( x + 5 ) = 3x^3 + 15x^2

TRY IT:

Multiply

6x^4 ( 2x^2 + 3 )
