About sample copies...
Teachers, I know that you're
used to having the big publishers send
sample copies for you to review (as I
am.) Unfortunately, I won't be
able to do that. Because of the
low price of the books, my profit margin
is way too small... I'd have to
sell a LOT of books to make up for each
sample. Because of their high
price, regular textbooks have HUGE
profit margins. Remember that I'm
a teacher too... One time, a new
book rep made a slip in my office and
told me that the $180 Calculus book
(yes, you read that price right) he was
trying to sell me for my students only
cost them $10 to print. Ouch!
(Boy, the person who was there training
him gave him a REALLY dirty look.)
Publishers just have to sell one book to
make up for several samples sent out...
It's the other way around for me.
But, on a positive note...
Keep in mind that
this content are already
online on
Coolmath, so you can get a great idea of
what the books are like there!
